  Our son has gone to Almaden Prep since Kindergarten and he's in 4th grade now. Like most parents we searched for many public and private schools before deciding to place him at this school. Actually, Guadalupe Elementary School would have been the public school that our son would go to. But we had reservations about the class size as multiple elementary schools were closed in our district prior to school starting. One day during that summer, our friends told us about Almaden Prep which they just visited for their daughter who's same age as our son. They highly recommended that we make an appointment to meet with the principle Ms. C and take a tour of this school. That meeting with Ms. C was unforgettable not only because of the obvious care and passion that Ms C has for children, but also because it sealed our decision to send our son to Almaden Prep - their philosophy of the "whole child" is important to us, not just academics. Our son loves this school and has friends of all ages from kindergartners to 8th graders. His love for math has grown and leaped since last year and it's now learning 5th grade math. He has never been pushed beyond his capabilities, but has always been presented opportunities appropriate for his own personal level.
  
  Almaden Prep offers a small community environment for students, parents, teachers, and staffs. I have never seen a school where little kids look up to older ones ... and ... older kids look out for little ones ... like brothers and sisters.
  
  The school has on campus after-school activities such as piano lessons, boy scouts, girl scouts, volleyball, football, basketball, Lego robotics, Tae Kwon Do, Aikido, and more.
  
  There are two musical plays each school year where students from each class are participated in. Every year, we see so many talented students who can act and sing like professionals ... and they are getting better each year. They are such a great fun to watch and it is always a full house.
  
  We love the small class size and attention our son gets from the teachers and Ms. C. Best of all is the quality of the academic curriculum and a well balance of creative side like musical plays and Lego robotics. We highly recommend this school.
