  Wait time is much shorter than the one in Mountain View office. People in this location are much willing to solve problems I am encountering. Even the security person is very friendly and helpful to people who need assistants.

  Five stars for Andy at SSA San Jose. First of all, don't waste your time calling the 800#, I tried THREE times, on hold nearly an hour each time, the agents were COMPLETELY unhelpful (one hung up on me!) , so I made an appointment, luckily got it next day at 10AM, Andy at San Jose SSA office handled my questions, I was called in early , he followed up immediately with a supervisor to get status of my Medicare application (which had been in pending status for 10 days), that afternoon got a call confirming all was a go, a few days later got a letter that I was approved, no more pending status! Make an appointment, don't waste your time calling SSA 800#.
