  EXTREMELY overworked employees who the federal government openly exploits for unjust compensation. Someone from corporate should come down on the management here. I'm not saying the people or supervisors are doing a bad job I'm saying they re losing efficiency due to them working people 6 days a week 10 to 11 hours a day. I know management has a quota to make but the workers are not robots. As a customer and a human being whose been in a similar industry I see this post office can operate at a much more efficient rate. Even neighboring post offices operate better. This facility desperately needs a efficiency overall. To better organize and make operations more efficient and effective for the community it serves

  Whoever runs this place (and works there) should not only be fired, but taken out and shot!
  
  Worst service ever, I spend an afternoon at work once trying to see if anyone would answer the phone and no one ever did. It rings forever until you get disconnected, then its busy (as if someone walked over to the phone, hung it up then took it off the hook to avoid more calls) Usually about an hour or two later its back on the hook and rings until, you guessed it, someone hangs up and takes it off the hook again!
  
  My packages are frequently returned to sender for unknown reasons, and they have no idea why since there are no entries in the USPS system for delivery attempts or notes left to pick up. the rare Packages that do arrive are often heavily damaged (like a metal car part that the sender had to ship 3 times before he gave up and just refunded me, each time it arrived with the box torn open from rough handling and parts missing)
  
  I even went so far as to put in a drop box in my outside wall in case the Postmen were too shy to ring the doorbell so they had no excuse for not delivering. No improvement, they would still leave notes that no one was home or nothing at all.
  
  To try to circumvent this all I had them hold all my mail for pick up, and went in every few days to check what they had waiting for me. Every time I was told "your mail is out on the truck, come back tomorrow" at the end of the month they just sent everything back to the senders because of no pick up!
  
  I've lived in area for 30 years, 8 different post offices, NONE of them have had the kind of problems this one does. I am 100% sure the post master here is mentally retarded and got the job because he knows someone at central. Its a shame some place as nice as Walnut Creek, with it's atronomical property taxes, has such an incredibly incompetent postal system.
  
  If anyone wants to prove otherwise, make sure you send your complaint to me UPS since USPS can't seam to find my giant 2 story house that's only been there 50 years.
  
  UPDATE: As of 2017 this office hired a mail carrier that is awesome and my mail started arriving. Previous carrier was fired after being seen throwing mail in a dumpster! Still a nightmare if I have to pick something up though!
